W.A.S.P. - Discografia

W.A.S.P. é uma banda de heavy metal da Califórnia, Estados Unidos. A banda surgiu no início dos anos 1980, mais precisamente em 1982, tendo como fundador o vocalista Blackie Lawless.O acronimo "W.A.S.P." é uma das maiores polêmicas em torno da banda, que em inglês é entendido como "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant", que significa "Branco, Anglo-Saxão e Protestante", foi reinterpretado pelos membros do grupo para que significasse "We Are Sexual Perverts", que traduzindo para o português significa "Nós somos pervertidos sexuais". Os W.A.S.P. são célebres pelos espetáculos muito característicos, que por muitas vezes apresentam números cruentos, no mesmo estilo dos encenados por Alice Cooper, um dos pioneiros deste tipo de show. Neste sentido os W.A.S.P. encontram similaridades também com grupos como os Lizzy Borden ou os Twisted Sister.
